Burando Energies proudly announces the addition of the estuary barge MTS ODYSSEE to its fleet under a time charter agreement, a strategic move that marks a significant expansion of its operational footprint in North-West Europe.

Built in 2019, MTS ODYSSEE offers a total cargo capacity of 4,050 m³ and immediately strengthens Burando Energies’ supply capabilities.

With this addition, the company is now positioned to actively serve clients in the Port of Zeebrugge, a key maritime gateway in the region where demand for reliable and alternative fuel solutions has been rapidly increasing.

The vessel will primarily be deployed for the delivery of biofuels, reinforcing Burando Energies’ commitment to supporting the maritime industry’s decarbonization effort.

In addition, MTS ODYSSEE is fully equipped to supply methanol, an alternative marine fuel that is gaining strong momentum and for which the company has already received multiple customer requests.

“We are incredibly proud to welcome MTS ODYSSEE into our fleet” says Felix Vertommen, General Manager of Burando Energies ARA. “This expansion reflects our ambition and our commitment to staying ahead of market developments. It enables us to directly respond to customer demand in Zeebrugge while supporting the transition toward biofuels and methanol.”

By expanding into Zeebrugge, Burando Energies not only broadens its geographical reach but also strengthens its ability to respond to the evolving fuel mix required by shipowners and operators.

This latest addition underlines Burando Energies’ strategic growth path and its determination to play an active role in the evolving marine fuels landscape, combining operational excellence with forward-looking energy solutions.
